In 2010, HBRC's quality department implemented Nintex Promapp® for process mapping and management to help the organization better understand its processes and improve them. As an ISO 9001 organization, appropriate process documentation and management is critical to HBRC's operations. Previously, HBRC resource technicians would collect samples and record field data on paper forms which would then be manually entered into their internal system at the lab and re-checked for accuracy. The process was time-consuming and risked data accuracy as weather and exposure often damaged the forms.
Using Nintex Workflows and Forms, HBRC created an automated mobile solution that eliminated the need for double data entry, allowing its scientists in the field to submit data electronically via a Nintex Mobile app on a mobile device. The solution saved HBRC more than 200 hours in the five-month testing period alone.

HBRC has mapped more than 500 processes since first implementing Nintex Promapp and published nearly 400 processes across six departments. The organization has also automated everything from leave request forms to generating compliance authorizations, and more.
